Self-Employed Multi-Drop Delivery Driver

About the opportunity
CADI Recruitment Solutions is recruiting reliable self-employed delivery drivers on behalf of an independent delivery operator completing Amazon parcel routes from the DLU2 delivery station in Houghton Regis, Dunstable.
Both owner-drivers and drivers requiring a rental van are welcome to apply. Previous multi-drop experience is beneficial, but full onboarding and paid training are available for suitable applicants.
This is a self-employed contractor opportunity and is not direct employment with Amazon.
Route rates
- £173.20 per completed SWB route/day
- £193.20 per completed LWB route/day
- Additional £1.80 BYOD allowance
- Weekly payments
- Gross rates are before applicable van rental, tax and other self-employed business expenses
Van options
- Use your own suitable SWB or LWB van, subject to vehicle and insurance approval
- SWB rental available from £200 per week
- LWB rental available from £260 per week
- Rental availability is subject to eligibility and insurance approval
Paid training
- Classroom/ride-along training payment: £137.70
- Safety training payment: £30.60
- Onboarding support provided throughout the application process
Main responsibilities
- Complete scheduled multi-drop parcel delivery routes safely and professionally
- Carry out daily vehicle safety checks before starting the route
- Load and organise parcels correctly
- Use a smartphone delivery application and follow the assigned route
- Deliver parcels according to customer instructions and delivery procedures
- Record accurate proof of delivery
- Report incidents, vehicle issues or delivery problems promptly
- Return undelivered parcels to the delivery station as instructed
- Maintain a professional and customer-focused attitude
Essential requirements
- Minimum age of 21
- Full UK driving licence or eligible EU driving licence, subject to insurance approval
- No more than six penalty points
- Legal right to work in the UK
- Smartphone with mobile data
- Able to complete the required identity, driving licence and background checks
- Reliable, punctual and comfortable working independently
- Able to load, carry and deliver parcels throughout the working day
- Availability to work flexible days, including weekends when required
