Maintenance Engineer

Circa £19ph

Depending on skills and experience

37.5 hours per week

Based in Chalford, Stroud

Based in Gloucestershire, we specialise in the casting and fabrication of exceptional sculptures in bronze, iron, aluminium and precious metals.

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will play a vital role in supporting a diverse range of machinery, plant and facilities that enable our skilled teams to deliver world-class sculpture projects.

Key areas of the role

Along with the department supervisor - Responsible for mechanical and electrical integrity across the Foundry
Carry out planned maintenance, fault finding and repairs.
Maintain accurate maintenance schedules and records.
Contribute to continuous improvement activities using various tools and machinery
Monitor tooling conditions and report defects.
Maintain high standards of safety and housekeeping.
Support engineering standards and safe working practices
Respond promptly to breakdowns and failures, to support production requirements and minimise operational downtime.

About you

A formal engineering qualification (e.g. City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Multi skilled engineering)
Electrical and mechanical experience and qualifications, including fault finding and diagnostics
Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and safe working practices
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A flexible, hands-on approach and willingness to support across shifts
Experience operating complex machinery in a manufacturing environment
Confidence using data to drive decisions and improvements
