Full job description

We're looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Structural Engineering team based in Liverpool or Norwich. Kier Design are a highly regarded Tier 1 Contractor, with a 750 plus strong design consultancy team, recognised as a Top 30 employer on Glassdoor.

Location: Liverpool (Speke) or Norwich (Wymondham)
Hours: 40 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us

Are you…

Professionally qualified with a BSc, MSc, BEng or MEng in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering
Chartered Engineer status CEng, Member, or Associate Member of Institution of Structural Engineers, or Institution of Civil Engineers
Knowledgeable in structural steelwork and reinforced concrete design to current European/British Standards
Experienced in designing different types of building structures within a multi-disciplinary design team environment
Committed to Continuing Professional Development

What will you be responsible for?

As a Senior Structural Engineer, you'll be working within the Structural Engineering team, supporting them in delivering excellent structural engineering project services to meet client needs.

You'll work collaboratively within a supportive, multi-disciplinary environment that values professional development and empowers you to grow your career.

Your day to day will include:

Producing and checking structural design calculations, drawings, models, reports, specifications, and schedules
Coordinating structural engineering design information with other technical disciplines such as Architecture and Building Services Engineering
Setting and implementing structural concept design strategies and monitoring progress against sustainability and low carbon targets
Acting as the lead structural designer on significant building structures design projects
Mentoring other Structural Engineers and Technicians within the team as part of our commitment to professional development
