About the Role

We are looking for a Lead Business Analyst who can take ownership of complex analysis projects and help clients turn business challenges into practical solutions. You will work closely with stakeholders, delivery teams and technical specialists to define requirements, improve processes and support strategic change.

This position is suited to an experienced business analyst who enjoys solving complex problems, influencing decisions and supporting other analysts in delivering high quality work.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis Leadership: Lead analysis activities across complex business change and digital transformation projects.

Requirements Management: Gather, document and validate business, functional and non functional requirements.

Process Improvement: Analyse existing processes, identify inefficiencies and recommend practical improvements.

Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate workshops, interviews and review sessions with business and technical stakeholders.

Solution Evaluation: Work with delivery teams to assess proposed solutions and ensure they meet agreed business needs.

Documentation: Produce clear business cases, process maps, user stories, acceptance criteria and requirements documentation.

Delivery Support: Support projects throughout planning, development, testing, implementation and post launch review.

Team Support: Mentor junior and mid level business analysts and provide constructive feedback on their work.

Risk Identification: Identify requirement gaps, delivery risks and dependencies before they affect project outcomes.

What We Are Looking For

Experience: At least 6 years of experience in business analysis, including responsibility for complex projects or workstreams.

Leadership: Previous experience mentoring analysts, leading workshops or coordinating business analysis activities.

Business Transformation: Strong experience supporting operational change, digital transformation or systems implementation projects.

Analysis Skills: Confident using process mapping, requirements gathering, gap analysis, stakeholder analysis and business case development.

Delivery Methods: Practical experience working in Agile, Waterfall or hybrid project environments.

Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly.

Stakeholder Management: Confidence working with senior stakeholders, technical teams and external clients.

Tools: Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Visio, Miro or similar platforms.

Qualifications: A business analysis qualification such as BCS, IIBA or an equivalent certification would be advantageous.

Mindset: You are commercially aware, organised and comfortable challenging assumptions when a better solution is available.

Pay: £60,000.00-£70,000.00 per year
