Our Stronger Families Team is an exciting and innovative model aiming to provide intensive support and care for families and young people (aged 7-17) who are at risk of becoming looked after or who are already in care and could be reunified back home with support. Our team is currently undergoing an exciting expansion to increase our offer around reunification and therefore we are looking to recruit new members of the team.

As a Senior Outreach Worker, you will support families in complex and challenging situations to achieve positive outcomes. Alongside this you will be responsible for supervising team members, have a duty day to offer support to the team, and lead team sessions and check-ins. In cases requiring a high level of support, you will act as the case lead and be the point of contact for the allocated case-holding social worker. As part of this role, you will be required to effectively manage complex situations, using your professional knowledge and skills to de-escalate and prevent volatile situations. You should be confident working with both parents and young people and able to quickly build and maintain positive relationships with them.

We seek an individual educated to degree level in a relevant field or with equivalent experience. Enthusiasm and proven experience working with vulnerable adolescents is essential. You must possess a strong understanding of child protection policies and procedures, as well as the importance of safeguarding. The ability to remain organised, flexible in your approach and to maintain accurate plans and records is crucial. You should be capable of managing competing caseload demands and demonstrate a genuine commitment to advocating for vulnerable children and young people.
