Full job description

Contract Educator – Cresconova Labs, London

OverviewCresconova Labs, a cutting-edge, experiential learning center where students build real futures, is seeking passionate and dynamic Contract Educators to offer courses in Math Circle, Conceptual Mathematics, politics, governments, history, creative writing, philosophy, the Hero’s Journey, fashion design, AR/VR, game design, microbit, arduino and FIRST robotics (FLL and FTC) to ages 5-16.

As a Contract Educator, you’ll deliver hands-on courses designed around Cresconova Labs’ innovative framework: Inquiry-based Learning, Systems Thinking, Design Thinking with a drive towards Excellence. Each course will allow students to dive deeper into subject matter through engaging projects.

Key Responsibilities

Experience with:
Design curriculum and deliver engaging, hands-on courses tailored to the interests and needs of students aged 5–16.
Teach 2D or 3D design software as needed for projects.
Experience with fabrication equipment (nice to have)
Cultivate curiosity, critical thinking, and creativity in every lesson.
Adapt and Innovate:
Use the Cresconova Labs framework to plan lessons, ensuring they are student-centered, project-based, and inquiry-driven.
Tailor content to diverse learning styles and abilities, ensuring accessibility and inclusion.
Engage and Support:
Create a welcoming and supportive classroom environment that encourages experimentation, learning, and teamwork.
Class management
Ensure students are asking driving questions and conversing with ease about projects
Provide feedback to students to help them build confidence and improve their skills.

Required Qualifications

Demonstrated expertise in a subject area along with ability to create multidisciplinary curriculum to drive learning deeper.
Teaching background
Passion for working with youth and inspiring their creativity.
Experience teaching fabrication skills, robotics, or project design.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with experiential learning and inquiry-based learning models.
Proven track record of teaching young students
Background and degree in educational settings that emphasize diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Compensation

Courses run 2 hours weekly for 5-6 weeks. Competitive hourly 75-125 commensurate with experience and subject area expertise.
