Full job description

Job Summary

We're looking for a friendly, gentle, reliable, self-employed Dental Hygienist to join our welcoming private practice for one day a week (Fridays).

What we offer:

6-hour day with 1 hour Lunch Break (9am – 4pm)
£300 day rate

A beautiful practice in the heart of Totnes, with lovely water views and a peaceful setting

Responsibilities

Perform thorough and gentle dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
Assess patients' oral health status by examining gums, teeth, and oral tissues, noting any abnormalities or concerns.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, dietary habits, and preventive care strategies.
Maintain accurate patient records, documenting treatments, observations, and imaging results with precision.

Skills

Strong knowledge of dental anatomy and oral health best practices.
Excellent communication skills to educate patients clearly and empathetically.
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
Attention to detail in record keeping and sterilization procedures
