Transport Planner –Flatbed Division
Location: Knutsford
Salary: £35k PA
Hours: TBC

We’re looking for an experienced Transport Planner to join our busy Flatbed Division.

This is a key role within a specialist logistics operation where precision, efficiency, and attention to detail are essential. You'll be part of a supportive team that works together to ensure every movement is carried out safely, compliantly, and on time.

Essential Requirement:

Minimum 12 months’ relevant HGV transport planning experience, with the ability to clearly demonstrate practical knowledge of route planning, vehicle allocation, and driver compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and schedule the transport of construction loads including wide, long and abnormal runs.
Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and third-party suppliers
Monitor live transport activity and adapt plans where necessary
Ensure full compliance with transport legislation and safety standards
Maintain accurate, up-to-date records using transport systems and software

What We’re Looking For

Experience in a transport planning or logistics coordination role
Strong understanding of HGV and plant movements
Good working knowledge of UK transport regulations and geographical routing
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Ability to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with transport planning software (desirable but not essential)
