PROFESSIONAL DOG WALKER – PART-TIME

£12.71 per hour + 25p per mile
Flexible part-time hours (typically 8 hours minimum per week)
Club Fetch Newcastle is looking for a reliable, confident and experienced dog-loving individual to join our friendly team.
This is a hands-on role working with a variety of breeds and temperaments in both small and big groups
About the Role:
- Group sizes vary between 4–6 dogs
- Solo walks and occasional training support
- Driving between client locations
- Providing safe, positive and professional care at all times
Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence
- Own reliable vehicle suitable for transporting 4-6 dogs
- Comfortable handling multiple dogs confidently
- Reliable availability during weekdays & occasional Saturdays
- Good communication and time management
- Experience with dogs preferred
Ideal Candidate:
We’re looking for someone calm, dependable and genuinely passionate about dogs. This role suits someone who enjoys being active, working outdoors and being part of a supportive team.
You don't need to have worked professionally with dogs before - full training will be provided. However, you must be genuinely confident around dogs of all breeds, sizes and temperaments and have a good understanding of dog behaviour. Previous hands on experience is a bonus, whether professionally, through volunteering or in your personal life. But we're equally interested in finding someone with the right attitude, common sense and willingness to learn.
The role requires someone who can stay calm and think clearly under pressure, confidently manage multiple dogs, follow instructions and make sensible decisions independently when out on walks. Reliability, confidence and good judgment are more important to us than having years of professional dog experience
We're looking for someone who genuinely wants to build a long-term role working with dogs, rather than someone looking for short-term or temporary work.
