Full job description

Welding Engineers has been in business since 1966 and is a major independent door company specialising in the manufacture, installation, repair and maintenance of all types of Industrial Doors and Shutters, Steel Fabrication, Lift Gates and Shutters, Industrial Roofing and Structural Glazing.

Welding Engineers has a strong and varied customer base in industry sectors such as MoD, Railways, Retail and Airports as well as numerous local and national businesses.

We have branches in Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, Glasgow, London and Newcastle giving geographic coverage of the UK if required.

Our experienced team of engineers, electricians, roofers and fabricators are all full time employees allowing us to maintain a high quality level of service and workmanship.

We operate an emergency call out service 365 days a year.

Based at our North East office

Reportable to the Branch Manager we are seeking a Industrial door technician to join our repair teams within a busy/fast moving work environment.

The candidate must be able to work well as part of a team to achieve customer satisfaction

Attention to detail is vital, as is using initiative and having the ability to investigate and solve problems

Tasks to include but not be limited to:

Dealing with Clients
Able to fault find and complete reactive repairs
Knowledge of various industrial door operators
A history of installing, servicing, and repairing industrial doors
Experience with working on automatic gates and barriers would be beneficial but not mandatory
Working as part of a team
Inclusion in manager call out rota (around 1 in 9)

This is a varied role where two days are seldom the same, working as part of an experienced team within a national company which has been trading since 1966

Pay: £19.00-£21.00 per hour
