This is an exciting opportunity to join the business at a pivotal stage in its growth journey. Having established itself as an innovative and successful fintech, the company is now transitioning from a high-growth start-up into a mature, scalable organisation. As Director of Technology, you’ll play a key role in professionalising the technology function, embedding best practices and building the foundations needed to support the next phase of growth.

This is a people-first leadership role with a strong focus on developing, mentoring and inspiring high-performing teams. You’ll foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement, driving both individual and team performance while building a technology organisation that is equipped to scale with the business.

Leading software development, infrastructure, DevOps, data engineering, BI & analytics, QA, and information security, you’ll be responsible for delivering the technology strategy while ensuring operational excellence across the function. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you’ll work closely with the executive team to shape the company’s strategic direction, influence key business decisions and ensure technology remains a key driver of commercial growth and innovation.

What We’re Looking For

Proven leadership experience in a senior technology role (CTO, CIO, or similar)
Must have Fintech or Payments experience
Experience guiding a business through start-up to scale-up
Deep experience across the full technical spectrum: development, DevOps, data, BI, QA, InfoSec Strong technical foundation with hands-on knowledge of the following:
Microsoft stack: .NET/ C#, containerisation (docker, Kubernetes, AKS), Azure Cloud (Azure SQL, App Insights)
Front end technologies (React, Angular and ecosystem)
Snowflake, Auth0, Looker, Bitbucket, Atlassian Suite
Experience leading distributed and remote teams with strong communication and collaboration skills
Demonstrated success in scaling platforms and teams
