Full job description

Pizza Chef Team Member
Chanbury's Woodfired Pizza is a local family business built from passion and a ethos for top quality service & ingredients. Our roots started in street-food and have quickly evolved to opening our first fixed site takeaway in Kingsteignton.

We are looking for candidates who are as passionate and driven as ourselves with a positive can-do attitude. Within our team we expect everyone to chip in and help where needed, and in return we will create a fun and professional atmosphere to work in.

We use authentic wood-fired ovens to cook our sourdough pizza so experience with this would be preferred. However if you still have a strong willingness to learn and a passion for authentic pizza then full training will be given to the right candidates.

Chanbury's has a tried and tested formula which already has a loyal and growing customer base. We would need our team to continue to follow in our footsteps to maintain our standards.

The Pizza Chef role would include the duties below and we would look for past experience in a catering environment with high hygiene standards.

Pizza Chef Duties

- Food preparation pre-shift.

- Preparing the wood-fired oven ready for service. We use real wood so we achieve that Smokey taste which makes Chanbury's taste so good.

- Making, cooking & cutting pizzas in a high speed environment.

- Stock ordering and rotation.

- Maintaining cleanliness levels and performing regular cleaning jobs.

- Preparing and cooking other food types on our menu.

Our kitchen will be visible to our customers so high standards will be needed at every step and we plan to use this to promote our brand.

Additionally we also cater for weddings and attend food festivals with our mobile oven setup so would expect our team to be fully flexible to work at these if needed during the Summer.

Shifts and opening times will be mainly evenings with weekends (Shop open 430pm to 930/10pm)
