Forged Training is a CrossFit and HYROX gym in North Shields. We've been coaching this community for 15 years, and it's not because we're the biggest — it's because members actually stick around. We're looking for a coach to take ownership of a set block of classes, mornings or evenings, plus a rotating share of weekend cover.
This isn't a rotating cast of PTs handing out generic programmes. You'll coach the same members week to week, get to know them, and be part of a team that's genuinely invested in helping people keep showing up.
Responsibilities
- Coach CrossFit and HYROX group classes across your set weekly shifts
- Deliver sessions to the programming already in place
- Spot and correct technique in real time to keep training safe and effective
- Build real relationships with members — notice when someone's missing, not just when they're in the room
- Create an engaging, motivating atmosphere in every session
- Flag any member issues, injuries, or concerns to the wider coaching team
Requirements
- CrossFit L1 (minimum) or equivalent coaching qualification
- Confidence running a room, not just a single session
- Reliable — this is a set rota, not ad hoc cover
- Genuine interest in CrossFit and/or HYROX, not just general PT experience
- A coaching style that's member-first and community-focused
Hours & Pay
Part-time, mornings or evenings across the week, plus 1 weekend in 4.
£16.50–£18/hour depending on experience, plus free gym membership and the ability to PT your own clients for free in our space.
