Green Energy Solar & Electrical Ltd is a solar and battery storage installation company delivering domestic solar PV, battery storage, and D-MEV (Decentralised Mechanical Extract Ventilation) installations across Wales, including government-funded retrofit schemes such as ECO4, LA Flex, GBIS, and RISE PPA. We're growing fast and looking for a qualified electrician to join our installation teams.
The Role
We're looking for a qualified electrician (18th Edition) to carry out electrical installation work across solar PV, battery storage, and D-MEV systems on domestic properties throughout Wales. You'll be working as part of our installation teams, travelling to sites across the region, so a flexible approach to travel is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out electrical installation and connection work for solar PV systems, battery storage units, and inverters on domestic properties
- Install and commission D-MEV units, including electrical wiring and connections
- Work safely and compliantly to current wiring regulations and site safety standards
- Complete installations to MCS standards where applicable
- Carry out testing, inspection, and certification of completed electrical work
- Liaise with installation team leads, scaffolders, and site supervisors to keep jobs running smoothly
- Complete accurate job documentation, photos, and compliance paperwork on site
- Identify and report any technical issues or faults, escalating where necessary
- Travel to sites across Wales as required by the job schedule
Requirements
- Qualified Electrician — 18th Edition (BS 7671) essential
- Full UK driving licence (essential, due to travel across sites)
- Comfortable working at height and on domestic roofs/lofts as part of solar/D-MEV installs
- Strong understanding of electrical safety practices and site compliance
- Good communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to travel across Wales, with overnight stays where required for distant jobs
Desirable (not essential)
- Previous experience with solar PV installation, battery storage systems, or D-MEV/ventilation systems
- MCS installation experience
- Experience working on ECO4, LA Flex, GBIS, or similar government-funded retrofit schemes
