About the Role

Bangor has a strong mix of retail hospitality and service businesses and at Premium POS Retail Technology Services we help customers keep their point of sale systems reliable responsive and ready for day to day trading.

We are looking for a POS Support Technician who can troubleshoot hardware and software issues support customer systems and help resolve technical problems quickly and professionally.

You will work closely with customers field technicians and internal support teams to diagnose faults manage support requests and maintain reliable retail technology services.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Support: Provide first and second line support for POS hardware software peripherals and connected retail systems.

Fault Diagnosis: Investigate technical issues identify likely causes and apply practical troubleshooting steps to restore service.

Customer Assistance: Guide customers through basic diagnostics configuration checks and routine system tasks by telephone email or remote support tools.

Ticket Management: Record support requests accurately prioritise incidents and maintain clear progress notes until issues are resolved.

Hardware Support: Assist with troubleshooting terminals printers scanners cash drawers and other point of sale equipment.

Software Support: Help resolve application configuration login update and connectivity issues affecting customer POS systems.

Installation Support: Assist with new equipment setups system replacements software deployment and customer onboarding activities.

Technical Documentation: Maintain support notes troubleshooting guides equipment records and knowledge base information.

What We Are Looking For

Experience: At least 2 years of experience in technical support IT support retail systems field service or a closely related role.

Technical Knowledge: Good understanding of computer hardware Windows based systems networking fundamentals and common peripheral devices.

Problem Solving: Able to troubleshoot technical issues methodically and identify practical solutions while working under time pressure.

Customer Service: Professional patient and confident when supporting customers with different levels of technical knowledge.

Communication: Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical steps in straightforward language.

Organisation: Able to manage multiple support requests prioritise urgent incidents and maintain accurate service records.

Tools: Experience with ticketing systems remote support software POS platforms or service management tools is preferred.

Mindset: You are patient dependable and solution focused. You take ownership of technical issues communicate clearly with customers and stay organised while helping restore reliable retail operations.

Pay: £2,500.00-£3,000.00 per month
