Responsibilities
- Utilize transportation management systems to schedule, track, and document shipments efficiently
- Coordinate shipping and receiving activities to ensure timely delivery and pickup of goods
- Maintain accurate data entry for all transportation records, including shipment details and inventory movements
- Communicate effectively with carriers, suppliers, and internal teams via phone and written correspondence
- Support analysis of logistics data to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings
- Assist with the operation of SyteLine or AS400 systems to manage order processing and inventory updates
- Prepare shipping documentation, labels, and receipts while adhering to company policies and safety standards
Qualifications
- Proven experience with transportation management systems (TMS) or logistics software platforms
- Strong understanding of supply chain processes, including shipping & receiving procedures
- Familiarity with 3PL (third-party logistics) providers and their coordination requirements
- Proficiency in using AS400 or SyteLine enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems for data management
- Excellent analysis skills to interpret logistics data and generate actionable insights
- Effective communication skills with professional phone etiquette and clear written expression
- Accurate data entry skills with attention to detail, typing speed, and organizational ability
