Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and physically fit Hod Carrier to assist in construction and masonry projects. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting bricklayers and masons by transporting materials, preparing work sites, and ensuring smooth workflow on-site. Duties
- Transporting bricks, mortar, and other building materials to various locations on-site using appropriate tools and techniques
- Assisting masons with preparing mortar beds and mixing materials as required
- Holding and passing tools such as hammers, trowels, or power tools to skilled tradespeople
- Supporting bricklaying activities by organising materials and maintaining a clean work area
- Assisting with the setup of scaffolding, ladders, or other temporary structures as needed
- Ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times during material handling and site activities
- Collaborating with team members to meet project deadlines efficiently
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools such as hammers, trowels, and chisels
- Experience or familiarity with bricklaying, masonry, or general construction practices is advantageous
- Ability to operate power tools safely and effectively
- Knowledge of carpentry, roofing, or welding techniques is a plus but not essential
- Physical strength and stamina to carry heavy loads and perform manual labour over extended periods
- Good organisational skills to manage materials and support workflow efficiently
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills and attention to safety standards

Pay: £130.11-£259.65 per day
