Reading, UK (office-based) | £28,000-£35,000 + uncapped commission
Overview
We're a B2B outbound sales agency. Businesses hire us to run their cold outreach - calls, LinkedIn, email - and fill their calendars with people worth meeting. We're good at it, we're building a proper system behind it, and we're at the point where it's ready to get a lot bigger.
Here's a real Tuesday: You're on the phones for two different businesses - say a creative agency and a tech company - the leaderboard's up, and someone books a meeting before 10AM so now you want one too. You rewrite an opener that isn't landing, nick an objection handler off the person next to you, and hustle to get a meeting on the board in the afternoon. You book one, the team celebrates you and you finish the day working out what you're doing differently tomorrow.
Some of it's grind and most of it's problem-solving, what makes it fun is that you're doing all of it in a room full of people who want to win as much as you do.
We're hiring across a few levels, from people who've never picked up a phone to people who've been doing this for years. Apply either way - we'll work out the right level together based on what you can actually do rather than what your CV says.
What you'd be doing
1. Running campaigns
- Cold calls, and plenty of them. This is a phone job first and everything else second.
- LinkedIn and email that reads like a human wrote it, not AI.
- Qualifying properly. You're not here to fill a calendar with time-wasters - you'll be hunting for real opportunities.
- Keeping your CRM clean. If it's not logged, it didn't happen.
2. Owning your accounts
- Knowing the businesses you're representing well enough to talk about them like you work there.
- Building the relationships that come with the account, not just the meetings.
- Telling us each week what's working, what isn't, and what you're changing.
3. Making it better
- The meeting is half the job. Working out why an approach isn't landing and fixing it is the other half.
- Testing openers, rewriting scripts, asking for better lists or better tools when you need them.
When you hit your stride you'll be booking 8-15 meetings a month. Some of those turn into deals worth tens of thousands for the businesses we work with.
What we're looking for
Someone who loves the game. The best people on our team right now aren't the ones with the longest CVs. They're the ones who set themselves targets nobody asked for and want the tick on the board. Competitive with the team even more competitive with themselves.
Someone who's naturally curious The best people on the phone are the ones who actually want to know the answer - what's going on in that business, why they've done it that way, what's not working. Curiosity is what turns a pitch into a conversation, and it's what makes someone worth talking to.
Resilient. Rejection is most of the day. It should annoy you briefly and then you dial again.
Coachable. We review calls every week. You'll get direct feedback and we'd like you to use it the same day.
Someone who gives a sh*t. It's our number one value; caring about your results, that a campaign works, that you're improving.
Organised. Your accounts should be in a state where someone else could pick them up tomorrow.
Nice to have, but not essential:
- Cold calling, appointment setting or telesales experience - tell us about it and we'll pitch you in higher
- Experience with HubSpot or a similar CRM
- Any exposure to selling B2B services
What you'll get out of it
Join a software company as an SDR and you'll sell one product to one market. You'll get very good at one script.
Here you're running live campaigns for two or three completely different businesses at once. Different industries, different buyers, different objections. You find out what actually transfers between markets and what doesn't, and you build your range as a salesperson. Most people need three or four jobs to get that spread of experience.
You'll get hands on training and coaching week-in, week-out - if you invest your time with us, we'll invest back into you to help you reach your goals.
Commission: uncapped, paid on meetings booked and attended, plus bonuses & competitions throughout the year. We have referral programmes for both client & team member referrals.
Realistic first-year total: £33,000-£41,000+
What else is included
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
- Christmas shutdown, 27th to 2nd - on top of your allowance, not out of it
- Your birthday off
- Learning budget - books, courses, conferences
- AI and tools budget
- Weekly call reviews and coaching from people who do this every day
- Real progression as we grow
- Performance bonuses
- Company pension
- Free parking at the office
How to apply
Send us your CV and if you catch our eye, we'll ask for a short video - two or three minutes, Loom or your phone, whichever's easier.
Pick one of these and answer it:
- We want to get into a specific company. What's your process for finding the right person and getting their attention?
- You've called 60 people this week and booked nothing. What do you change, and why?
- Someone says "we already have someone doing this." What do you say next - and what are you actually trying to find out?
What happens next: a face-to-face interview in the office with Hannah, the founder. If it's going well we'll invite you in for a paid trial-dial session alongside the team, so you can see the place properly and we can both work out whether it's a fit for each other.
