Full job description

Trainee Butcher - Grasmere Farm

Location: Market Deeping (but must be willing and able to travel to other local stores)
Position: Full-Time, approx 40 hours.

Grasmere Farm is looking for a Trainee Butcher to join our team and work in our retail shops. This is the perfect opportunity for someone just starting out in their butchery career, looking to progress, or someone interested in starting a new career in the industry. At Grasmere Farm, many of our current butcher managers began their journey as trainees, and we are passionate about bringing new talent into the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Learn the art of butchery from experienced professionals
Prepare and display counters with high-quality cuts of meat
Serve customers with excellent customer service
Perform cleaning duties, which are an essential part of the job

Requirements:

Previous experience in butchery is not necessary (but is an advantage)
A can-do attitude and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
Flexibility to work across our Market Deeping, Stamford, and Vine House Farm locations
Enthusiasm to learn and grow within the industry.

Qualifications
Food preparation skills
Butchery experience
Knowledge of food safety regulations
Food production background
Culinary experience is a plus
-Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred
