Full job description

The Anglian Water Strategic Pipeline Alliance (SPA) project currently involves the planning, design and construction of circa 320km of new strategic, large diameter, clean water interconnector pipelines and associated infrastructure across Anglian Water’s region. The SPA Alliance is also taking on responsibility for the future interconnector pipelines, a further 260km of strategic interconnector pipelines and associated infrastructure.

The Ground Investigation Supervisor (I) will be given support and guidance from the Ground Investigation Coordinator and Geotechnics Discipline Lead in delivery. They will work in collaboration with Geotechnical Engineers, Geophysicists and other disciplines to develop and detail appropriate solutions adopting the principles of excellence in design based on the industry leading approaches adopted by the SPA Alliance engineering team. Their primary contribution will be to lead site supervision, laboratory scheduling and interpretation of ground investigations.

This role will be hyrbid, and will initially be site-based working across the region (AMP8 interconnectors) until completion of the fieldwork, after which they it will be hybrid working with 1 or 2 days per week in the Peterborough office. Be willing to travel and undertake field-based assignments including supervising GI contractors to ensure technical quality.

Qualifications: Essential

MSc or equivalent Geophysical experience

Member of a relevant professional body

Minimum 5 yrs experience undertaking desk studies and ground investigations

Full UK Driving Licence
