Hours: 37 hours a week
Contract: Permanent

What You’ll be doing
You’ll work closely with colleagues across Luton Rising to understand business challenges, identify risks and opportunities, and turn complex questions into clear, practical recommendations. You’ll build scenario models, analyse data and contribute insights to reports, dashboards, business cases and briefings for senior managers.
You’ll assess the impact of new projects and initiatives, using robust analytical approaches that stand up to scrutiny. You’ll bring together data from different sources, identify trends and patterns, and create clear, engaging visualisations that help technical and non-technical stakeholders understand what the data is telling us.
You’ll also help us work smarter by automating data processes, capturing lessons learned and contributing to continuous improvement. Importantly, you’ll play a key role in modernising our data and analysis infrastructure as part of our wider Data and Analytics Strategy and roadmap.
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who is genuinely curious about data and enjoys turning business problems into meaningful insights. You’ll have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience using modelling and basic statistical techniques to explore different scenarios and support decision making.
You’ll have experience creating clear and engaging data visualisations, ideally using Power BI and/or Tableau, alongside strong Excel skills and good mathematical and IT capability. Capability to integrate Artificial Intelligence into data processing and analysis is desirable.
You’ll be highly accurate and organised, able to manage competing priorities and work to tight deadlines. Just as importantly, you’ll be a confident communicator who can challenge assumptions and explain technical information clearly, without relying on jargon.
You’ll also share our commitment to equality and inclusion, with the confidence to recognise discrimination and take appropriate action where it occurs. The role may occasionally require attendance at evening or weekend events, meetings or engagements in and around the Borough.
If you’re passionate about using data to solve real business challenges and want to make a visible impact at Luton Rising, we’d love to hear from you.
