Overview
We are seeking a skilled Electrician or Electrician’s Mate to join our team. This role involves installing and testing electrical systems as well as installing containment and data/fibre cabling across a variety of jobs on a large site. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of electrical principles and practical experience working with electrical components. Responsibilities
- Installing, inspecting, and maintaining electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in accordance with safety standards and regulations
- Assisting senior electricians with electrical tasks and projects
- Must be capable of running jobs by themselves and/or with others
- Using hand tools and power tools to cut, bend, assemble, and install containment
- Troubleshooting electrical faults and performing repairs promptly to minimise downtime
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Ensuring all work areas are kept clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety guidelines
- Documenting work activities accurately for maintenance and companies records
- To provide your own basic hand/power tools necessary for works.
- Must be able to make own travel arrangements to job site
Skills
- Experienced with power tools including drills, saws, and voltage testers
- Demonstrable electrical experience with a good understanding of wiring systems and electrical safety standards
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics effectively
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Good communication skills to work effectively within a team environment
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in electrical installation or maintenance are desirable but not essential for Electrician’s Mates willing to learn on the job
- Experience with data/fibre works is preferred by not essential

Contract length: 8 months
Pay: £15.00-£32.00 per hour
