Full job description

Fulcrum Construction is a Bournemouth-based contractor specialising in commercial refurbishment, maintenance and reinstatement work across the South Coast. We're growing fast and need someone practical, organised, and construction-literate to join us in the office.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 4:30pm

What you'll be doing

Preparing and pricing quotes and tenders
Liaising with subcontractors and suppliers to get accurate pricing
Supporting the day-to-day running of the office — correspondence, document production, contract paperwork
Helping keep live jobs on track: chasing information, updating schedules, coordinating between site and office
Assisting with tender submissions and pre-qualification documents.

What we're looking for

Previous hands-on site experience in construction — you understand how a build actually goes together, sequencing, trades, and common issues
Comfortable reading drawings and specifications
Strong written communication — able to put together professional client-facing documents
Organised, self-sufficient, good with deadlines
Estimating or QS experience is a bonus but not essential — we can teach the pricing side if the trade knowledge is there
This is an office-based role — no site attendance required day-to-day, but your background on-site is what makes you useful to us
