Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Officer to safeguard our premises, staff, and assets. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment through proactive surveillance and prompt response to incidents. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the safety and security of our organisation while working in a professional and supportive environment. Candidates should possess strong observational skills, integrity, and mechanical knowledge to effectively perform their duties.

Responsibilitiesl

Enforce access control procedures by verifying identification and authorisation of personnel and visitors
Respond swiftly and appropriately to security breaches or emergencies, including alarms or suspicious activity
Maintain detailed incident reports and communicate effectively with management and emergency services when necessary
Conduct routine inspections of security equipment, including locks, alarms, and surveillance systems, ensuring they are functioning correctly
Assist with safety protocols during emergencies such as fire drills or evacuations
Collaborate with team members to uphold security standards across all areas of the organisation

Experience

Previous experience in security or a related field is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for maintaining and troubleshooting security equipment
Strong observational skills coupled with excellent attention to detail
Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond decisively in emergency situations
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
A valid security licence or certification.

Pay: £14.00-£15.00 per hour
