Full job description

Bike and Boot is a new leisure - orientated hotel brand for the 21st Century that directly addresses the UK leisure market in a way that no other operator is presently doing. It has a modern approach to the general consumer market and it addresses well - defined consumer groups.

Bike and Boot includes:

. A budget - Luxe hotel with design - led bedrooms.

. Self check - in & check out

. A Retreat lounge for residents guests only, providing complimentary refreshments 24 - hrs a day.

. A Bareca - an all-day bar and grill operation, trading to the local market as well as hotel guests, with menu featuring casual all-day food, pizza, pasta and grills - an a host of original cocktails.

. A Wadobi - specialist facilities for walkers, dog - owners, cyclists, vintage car drivers and motorcyclists - with secure storage, drying room and maintenance facilities.

. A Film Club - showing films three times a day for hotel guests.

Our Night Porters have charge of the whole building for most of their shift, taking the principle responsibility during their shift for the safety, security and comfort of our guests.

. To ensure that the hotel's safety and security procedures are applied consistently and effectively during your shift.

. To deal with all Front Hall queries from guests relating to their use of the hotel.

. To clean the Bareca front of house and set up for breakfast.

. To coordinate effectively with other departments to facilitate the professional operation of the hotel.

. To fulfill shift checklist when on operational duty.

. Ability to give full attention to our guests, to actively look at ways to help people, and to adjust actions in relation to others.

. Excellent knowledge of the locality of the hotel, including visitor attractions and local events.

. A detailed understanding of the hotel booking and billing system, the website and the EPoS system.

. Dependability - Job requires being reliable, responsible, and dependable, and fulfilling obligations.

. Attention to detail - Job requires being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks .

. Integrity - you must be honest and ethical.

. Self control - this job requires maintaining composure, keeping emotions in check, avoiding aggressive behavior, even in very difficult situations.

. Cooperation - this job requires being pleasant with others on the job and displaying a good - natured, cooperative attitude.

. Gratuities are split equally between all staff in the hotel.This equates to aproximatly £1 per hour in addition to hourly pay.
