A Fantastic Opportunity: Generation Delivery & Compliance Engineer
We are looking for an experienced Generation Delivery & Compliance Engineer to join our team and play a key role in connecting distributed generation projects to the electricity network.
This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of the UK's energy transition, leading projects through the compliance and connection process from initial planning through to successful energisation. You will act as the key link between customers, contractors and internal teams, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in compliance with all technical, operational and regulatory requirements.
The role offers a varied mix of project delivery, technical compliance, commissioning and stakeholder management, supporting the connection of renewable and distributed energy generation schemes across the network.
The successful candidate must, at the start of employment have permission to work in the UK without sponsorship.
What you’ll be doing
As a Generation Delivery & Compliance Engineer, you will:

Lead HV and LV distributed generation projects through the compliance and connection process.

Manage day-to-day G99 and G100 project planning activities to ensure successful project delivery.

Provide customers with guidance and support on G99 and G100 compliance requirements, working closely with internal compliance teams.

Undertake and lead G99 and G100 witness testing activities, ensuring all statutory and regulatory requirements are met.

Carry out SCADA commissioning activities, including configuration, testing and system validation.

Complete final site compliance inspections and commissioning sign-off activities.

Develop and implement commissioning plans to support successful project delivery and network connections.

Analyse HV network operating arrangements and produce generator operating procedures and network amendment documentation.

Provide technical information and engineering support for the preparation of connection agreements.

Coordinate the installation and commissioning of SCADA and telemetry equipment, ensuring customers are fully informed of site requirements and commissioning programmes.

Support the completion of BCA Agreements.

Work collaboratively with customers, network operators, internal teams and contractors to deliver projects against programme milestones and target export dates.

Ensure robust health and safety plans are developed and implemented for all commissioning and energisation activities.
What we’re looking for
You must hold an HNC (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering and have experience managing electrical distribution or construction projects. You'll be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple priorities while supporting a high-performing team.
Essential skills and experience
- HNC or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering.

HV and LV Authorisation and knowledge of generation.
- Demonstrable experience in:
- ENA G99 and G100 compliance assessments

Telemetry installations

Witness testing

SCADA commissioning

Strong working knowledge of ENA G99 and G100 regulations.

Good understanding of LV and HV electrical networks and schematic diagrams.

Sound knowledge of electrical engineering design principles and industry practices.

Understanding of the legal, technical, safety and CDM requirements affecting the electricity industry.

Experience delivering projects across multiple stakeholders, including customers, contractors and internal teams.

Strong communication and customer relationship management skills.

Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the SP Electricity North West network area.
