Full job description

An opportunity to apply for the post of Assistant Directorate Accountant has arisen within our Financial Management Team.

The Assistant Directorate Accountant will work as part of the Financial Management team to ensure the accurate and timely provision of financial information, support and guidance to the Trust’s Clinical Boards.

The Financial Management team are responsible for the monthly closedown, variance analysis, reporting and forecasting, as well as providing business support to managers, including high quality financial information and analysis to meet their financial objectives throughout the year.

This is a key role with responsibility for providing financial support, advice, & guidance and ensuring that financial controls are maintained within Corporate Governance guidelines.

The team produce monthly management accounts to enable accurate monitoring and forecasting of the Trust's financial position, enabling budget holders and the Trust to make well informed financial decisions.

To work closely with the Directorate Management Team, providing timely and accurate financial and supporting information and advice to facilitate the effective monitoring of specific Directorate and Department’s specific financial position.

Production of budgets for specific areas of reporting responsibility.

To ensure that financial controls are maintained within Corporate Governance guidelines.
