About The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Restructuring and Insolvency Solicitor to join our Thames valley office in Reading.

The team act for insolvency practitioners, lenders, companies, directors, and creditors undertaking a mixture of restructuring, non-contentious and contentious assignments, with the focus being on businesses surviving, and maximising realisations for creditors.

We are looking for someone with either a non-contentious advisory and transactional background, or who has mixed contentious/non-contentious experience.

Role of a Restructuring and Insolvency Solicitor:

Advise as part of the team on issues across the breadth of Restructuring and Insolvency, this will include both contentious and non-contentious matters, all aspects of corporate and personal insolvency law, and some restructuring assignments.
Promotes and drives high standards of service and accuracy across the department or team
Takes responsibility and accountability for ensuring that the Firm’s and Regulator’s Standards are consistently met by oneself
Has and maintains the respect of clients and colleagues by being fair and consistent and acting as a role model for others
Directly bills and/or controls billing in line with agreed target
Acts as an ambassador for the Firm at all levels within the Firm and externally
Sustains long term, commercially valuable relationships
Uses technical expertise and knowledge to actively promote the Firm (e.g. public speaking, publishing articles etc.)
Recognised as a trusted advisor both internally and externally
Able to overcome technical difficulties and problem solve effectively and where appropriate creatively

About You

You will need:

To be a 0-3 PQE Solicitor with some previous experience or transferrable skills in restructuring and insolvency
Able to work collaboratively with colleagues and successfully manage client relationships
Excellent technical ability and drafting skills
Can demonstrate teamwork and relationship building skills
Strong commercial acumen
Proactive, ambitious and organised with a keen eye for detail
