Mind my Mog provides tailored cat sitting visits to customers houses in and around Woodley, RG5. We pride ourselves on taking cat sitting seriously and giving customers the peace of mind to go away knowing that their beloved cats are in safe and caring hands and that their homes are secure and well looked after.

Role Description

The Cat Sitter role is a part-time position across weekends only at present (between 4pm Friday & 9:30am Sunday), covering the hours of 7am-9:30am & 4рm-7pm.

Work is variable depending on bookings and agreed on a week by week basis. This is a self-employed position, ideal for a professional wishing to earn extra money in their spare time doing something rewarding that they love.

The Cat Sitter will provide daily care for cats, including feeding, fresh water provision, litter box cleaning and basic grooming as required.

Responsibilities include monitoring cat health and behavior, reporting any concerns promptly, and ensuring a safe, clean, and calm environment. The role also involves providing companionship, playtime, and enrichment activities to support each cat's well-being. The Cat Sitter will communicate with colleagues and, where appropriate, with clients about routines, preferences, and any changes in the cats' condition.

Qualities

Strong cat care skills, with a genuine interest in feline welfare.
Natural talent for building trust and rapport with cats.
Effective Communication skills to share updates clearly and collaborate with the care team.
Ability to observe and respond to changes in animal behavior, including basic knowledge of cat health and safety.
Reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail in following care routines and procedures.
Capacity to work independantly across Woodley & surrounding areas within customers houses.
Basic record-keeping skills and willingness to follow organizational policies and training

Requirements

You must drive your own car & have vehicle insurance covering business travel
Smartphone required
Successful candidates will be required to provide evidence of a clear DBS check
You will have regular availability accross early mornings and late afternoon/evenings from Friday afternoon to Sunday morning.

Benefits

£10 per 30 minute visit (increasing to £11.50 for new bookings from Aug onwards).
Rewarding, enjoyable work
Flexible - work is adhoc and will be agreed as and when bookings are taken
No consultations with clients - this will be coveted by a full time sitter and you will receive full instructions for each sit.

Pay: £20.00-£23.00 per hour
