Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Trainee Loft & Experienced Loft Installer to join our dynamic team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in developing skills within the construction and renovation industry. The position involves working on loft conversions and related installations, providing hands-on experience in various aspects of building and fabrication. Successful candidates will be trained in essential techniques and safety procedures, with the potential to progress into a fully qualified loft installer. All roles are paid, recognising the value of your contribution from day one.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation of loft installations, including structural modifications and fitting of insulation, boarding, and fixtures
- Support experienced installers in measuring, cutting, and fitting materials using hand tools and power tools
- Prepare work areas by clearing debris and organising materials to ensure efficient workflow
- Follow safety protocols at all times to maintain a secure working environment
- Learn to interpret schematics, technical drawings, and instructions related to loft installations
- Assist with minor repairs or modifications as directed by senior team members
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored after use
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge or interest in roofing, carpentry, masonry, or construction is desirable but not essential
- Experience with hand tools and power tools is advantageous
- Familiarity with schematics or technical drawings is a plus
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work safely at heights and in confined spaces if required
- Willingness to learn new skills and undertake training programmes
- Previous experience in plumbing, welding, electrical work, plastering, fabrication, or construction painting is beneficial but not mandatory
- A proactive attitude with strong teamwork capabilities

Pay: £24,420.00-£30,221.86 per year
