Full job description

Full-Time Chef – The Little Lark, Studley

Following our recent refurbishment, we're looking for an experienced and passionate Chef to join the team at The Little Lark, a traditional village pub with a reputation for great food and a warm welcome.

As we move our kitchen in an exciting new direction, we're developing a menu focused on seasonal ingredients, quality pub classics with a modern touch, and creative weekly specials. We're looking for someone who shares our passion for producing consistently excellent food and who wants to play a key role in shaping our food offering.

What we're looking for:

Minimum 5 years' experience working as a chef in a busy kitchen.
A genuine passion for seasonal cooking.
Ability to create and contribute ideas for weekly specials and menu development.
High standards of food quality, presentation and consistency.
Excellent knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety (Level 2 Food Hygiene preferred).
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
The ability to work calmly under pressure and lead by example during busy service.
A positive attitude and a team-player mentality.
Reliability, flexibility and pride in your work.

The role:

Preparing and cooking dishes to a consistently high standard.
Assisting with menu planning and seasonal menu changes.
Creating exciting weekly specials.
Managing stock, ordering and reducing waste.
Maintaining excellent food hygiene and cleanliness throughout the kitchen.
Working closely with the front-of-house team to ensure every customer has a great dining experience.
