Starting salary - £39,011. Salary at 12 months - £41,011 + benefits that includes quarterly bonus, private pension & medical insurance.
Further salary uplifts as you learn new specialist skills.
Up to 10% annual bonus (paid quarterly).

If you have a minimum of 12 months post‑qualification & registration experience, have been practicing as a clinician for the last 12 months in the UK and looking for a role where you can use your clinical skills in a different way without stepping away from your profession — this may be the perfect next step for you.

As a Functional Assessor with Ingeus you can expect:

What you’ll be doing each day

Conducting initial case reviews, file work and paper based assessments.
Triaging cases to determine the assessment route a case will take.
Liaising directly with claimants, using active listening and questioning skills to obtain additional evidence where needed. in order to complete the assessment.
Liaising with clinical peers across the NHS and private healthcare sector, charities, and support organisations to obtain and evaluate evidence that assists in the production of detailed assessment reports.
Apply critical thinking and logical reasoning to produce accurate and detailed reports on each case.

Who We’re Looking For

NMC-registered Adult Nurses (RGN, RMN, RNLD) or HCPC-registered Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Paramedics.

With excellent communication & critical-thinking skills, the ability to type and confidence using computers.

This role would suit someone who:

Is open to a formalised programme of training to become a DWP approved Functional Assessor.
Is receptive to ongoing constructive feedback, ensuring our claimants continually get the very best experience.
Has confidence in their ability to use computers and in learning different software packages to complete detailed, high-quality reports for all claimants assessed.
Thrives in a working environment that offers structure and the opportunity to use your clinical skills in a different way.

This role may not be the best match for you if:

You are not comfortable or are unfamiliar with technology.
You dislike writing detailed reports.
You prefer a more hands on approach to clinical care.
You’re not looking for a new direction in your clinical career or to embark on period of retraining into a new role.
You don’t enjoy working in an environment with targets.
You are not looking for a role that requires you to work on site for 3 days a week.
