Street Patrol Community Safety Officer (Cover / Standby Work)
My Local Bobby LTD
Location: Ipswich
Job Type: Flexible Cover / Standby Contract
Hours: 16 hours per week (Wednesday & Thursday) with additional cover shifts available
Pay: £13.00 per hour (Enhanced rate of £14.00 per hour for last-minute cover shifts)

Are you passionate about community safety, reducing crime, and making a real difference? My Local Bobby LTD is seeking dedicated individuals to join our Ipswich team as a Street Patrol Community Safety Officer on a flexible cover basis.

This is a rewarding opportunity ideal for someone looking for part-time work alongside other commitments, while also having the option to pick up additional hours covering holidays, sickness, and last-minute shift requirements.

What You’ll Do

As a Community Safety Officer, you will:

Be a visible, trusted presence within the local community
Build relationships with residents and local stakeholders to tackle anti-social behaviour and safety concerns
Respond to incidents when required and liaise with police or other partners
Gather community intelligence and provide reassurance to members of the public
Support the community through engagement, empathy, and problem-solving

About You

A confident communicator with a genuine interest in public service
Reliable, proactive, and professional in your conduct
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Calm under pressure and committed to keeping communities safe
Flexible and willing to assist with additional cover shifts when required

Requirements

Valid SIA Frontline Licence
First Aid Certification
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a security-related role (preferred)

Desirable

Full UK Driving License
First Aid Certification
