Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a professional kitchen environment. The successful candidate will assist in food preparation, support the kitchen team, and contribute to delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced hospitality setting. Prior experience in a restaurant or catering environment is advantageous, but training will be provided for the right candidate. This role is paid and ideal for individuals eager to advance their culinary career.

Duties

Assist in preparing ingredients and cooking dishes according to specified recipes and standards
Support senior chefs with food presentation and plating
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations in compliance with food safety regulations
Help with inventory management, including stock rotation and storage
Follow all health and safety procedures diligently to ensure a safe working environment
Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Contribute ideas for menu development and presentation enhancements
Support serving staff during busy service periods when required

Experience

Previous experience in food production, cooking, or hospitality is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
Supervising experience or team management skills are advantageous for future career progression
Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures within a professional kitchen setting
Practical experience in food preparation, culinary techniques, and restaurant operations
Familiarity with customer service and serving in a hospitality environment
Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Passion for culinary arts and eagerness to learn new skills within a supportive team environment

Pay: From £12.71 per hour
