CNC Turner (4 Axis) required to effectively program, set and operate the lathe in order to produce orders on time and to the required high quality standards.
Duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Machining exotic materials e.g. 625,718, using FANUC or Siemens control systems
- Able to understand complex engineering drawings
- Able to set or modify existing programs
- Use measuring equipment and basic CMM
- Implement minor and suggest major tooling changes
- Suggest process improvements to the engineering department
- Assist and instruct others
- Loading varying size components into the machines competently
- Monitoring long cycle times
Horizontal Borer (Fanuc)
We are looking for an experienced CNC Machinist to programme, set and operate our Fanuc Horizontal Boring machine.
The role will entail monitoring and repeating long cycle parts over a long-term contract.
The job holder will be required to fully understand CNC programmes and have the ability to set parts from dedicated set up and tooling sheets.
Applicants must have the ability to confidently modify and prove CNC programmes.
Experience of setting, operating and programming CNC machines with FANUC Control Systems would be advantageous – some training can be provided to experienced CNC machinists who closely fit the spec.
Our successful candidates:
- Competent machinist, with recent experience from a similar role
- Apprentice trained, NVQ 3 or equivalent in Engineering preferred
- Strong work ethic, able to prioritise tasks & is organised
- Willingness and ability to follow management directions to achieve results
- Excellent timekeeping & attendance
- Enthusiasm and desire to learn with great communication skills.
- Ability to work alone and part of a team

Hours & Remuneration:
Day Shift core hours - Monday-Thursday 07:00-16:00, Friday 07:00-12:00 (39 hours per week)
Some flexibility, ie work longer Mon-Thurs to leave after 4hrs on Fridays.
