An onsite technical/admin clerk plays a vital support role in engineering, construction, or industrial projects by handling documentation, data management, and administrative coordination directly at the project site. Here's a snapshot of what the role typically involves:

Document Control: Managing technical documents, drawings, and reports—ensuring they’re properly filed, updated, and accessible to engineers and project managers.
Data Entry & Tracking: Updating spreadsheets, databases, and logs related to project progress, materials, or equipment.
Team Support: Assisting engineers, Superintendent and supervisors with compiling reports, preparing manuals, and chasing up deliverables.
Communication: Liaising with internal teams and sometimes clients to ensure smooth information flow.
Software Use: Proficiency in tools like Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word), Adobe Acrobat, and sometimes project-specific systems.
Work Packs: Creation of workpacks
Administrative Duties: Ordering of supplies,
Safety Passport or IOSH an advantage
Based at Royston, with occasional travel to other company sites as operational needs arise. Accommodation can be provided for travelling clerks..

Working 11 day rolling fortnight, 10 x 10hrs days and 1 x 6hrs day. All hours paid at basic rate.
