About us

Foster4 is a pioneering, foster carer recruitment service. Operating as a highly successful collaborative hub based within Warrington Borough Council’s offices, we proudly recruit and support foster carers on behalf of nine Cheshire and Merseyside local authorities, including Cheshire East, Cheshire West and Chester, Halton, Knowsley, Liverpool, Sefton, St Helens, Warrington, and Wirral.

The role - X 2 Posts

We are looking for an exceptional Fostering Support Worker to join our fast-paced, multi-agency team and help drive our ambitious recruitment goals across the region.

As a Fostering Support Worker, you will be a vital first point of contact and provide ongoing support for prospective foster carers. Your energy and communication skills will help guide applicants smoothly from their initial enquiry and throughout their assessment journey. In this position, you will drive recruitment campaigns by assisting with local recruitment events, roadshows, information sessions, and targeted community campaigns across the region. You will actively engage prospective foster carers by acting as a friendly, knowledgeable first point of contact, answering enquiries, dispelling myths, and guiding prospective foster carers with empathy and professionalism. Additionally, you will provide practical and administrative support by managing applicant data, coordinating information packs, and working collaboratively with social work teams. Because this is a regional role, you will travel across Cheshire and Merseyside to ensure our regional presence remains strong, active, and accessible.

What's needed?

You will need to be an energetic and professional communicator who can act as an empathetic first point of contact for prospective foster carers. You must possess the confidence to actively engage the public at local events, roadshows, and community campaigns, alongside the strong administrative skills required to manage enquiries. You will work closely with multi-agency and social work teams to guide applicants smoothly through their assessment journey. This is a regional position, therefore you must have the flexibility and means to travel regularly across Cheshire and Merseyside to maintain a strong community presence.

Further Information

The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.

DBS clearance is required.
