Full job description

Are you organised, confident dealing with people, and looking for a role where no two days are the same?

A leading van rental company is looking for a Rental Customer Advisor to join their friendly and experienced team across their Watford and Hemel Hempstead offices. With over 20 years of experience and a fleet of more than 100 vehicles, this is a fantastic opportunity to join an established and growing business where you'll play an important role in delivering an excellent customer experience.

The Role:

This is much more than a traditional administration position. You'll be working directly with customers, managing bookings and supporting the smooth running of the rental operation from start to finish.

You'll receive full training, so previous van rental experience isn't essential.

We're looking for someone who is professional, personable, reliable and eager to learn.

Your Responsibilities:

Welcome and serve customers, creating a friendly and professional experience
Check driving licences and customer documentation
Convert incoming enquiries into confirmed bookings
Answer telephone calls and respond to customer emails
Handle customer queries and resolve issues efficiently
Carry out pre and post-rental vehicle inspections
Demonstrate vehicle controls, tail lifts and other features to customers
Complete pre-hire vehicle sanitisation

What We're Looking For:

You don't need previous experience in vehicle rental.
Full training will be provided.
Has excellent communication and customer service skills and is confident speaking to customers over the phone and face-to-face
Has good IT skills, including Word, Excel and Outlook
Has a positive, can-do attitude and comfortable working in a busy, customer-facing environment
Holds a full UK driving licence 23+, due to insurance stipulations in manoeuvring the vans
