Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sushi Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality sushi dishes that delight our guests and uphold our restaurant’s reputation for excellence. Your expertise in traditional and contemporary sushi techniques will ensure each plate is crafted with precision, creativity, and care. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary artistry in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where quality and customer satisfaction are paramount.

Responsibilities

Prepare a variety of sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese-inspired dishes following established recipes and presentation standards
Maintain the highest food safety and sanitation standards throughout all food preparation processes
Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and used efficiently to minimize waste
Assist in creating new sushi menu items that reflect current culinary trends and customer preferences
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow during busy service hours
Monitor quality control by inspecting each dish before serving to guarantee consistency and excellence
Support the overall cleanliness and organization of the sushi station, including equipment maintenance and stock management

Skills

Prior kitchen experience in a restaurant setting is highly desirable
Familiarity with food safety regulations and proper sanitation practices
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent teamwork and communication skills to coordinate with colleagues effectively
Passion for culinary innovation and delivering exceptional dining experiences
