What You’ll Work On
You’ll gain hands-on experience across:
- Domestic Solar PV
- Commercial Solar PV
- Battery Energy Storage Systems
- Tesla Energy products
- Inverters and battery systems
- AC electrical installation
- DC electrical installation
- Consumer units and associated equipment
- AC/DC isolators and protection equipment

- Testing and commissioning

You’ll work alongside qualified electricians and experienced installation teams, with your level of responsibility increasing as your skills develop.
What You’ll Be Doing
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with domestic and commercial Solar PV installations
- Installing Battery Storage systems
- Installing electrical containment and cabling
- Installing inverters, batteries, isolators and associated equipment
- Carrying out AC and DC installation work appropriate to your competence
- Cable pulling, clipping and dressing
- Preparing cables and equipment for termination
- Assisting with testing and commissioning
- Preparing materials, equipment and tools
- Working safely with electrical and power tools
- Following company installation standards and RAMS
- Maintaining clean and professional working areas
- Working efficiently as part of an installation team
- Representing Green Energy Solar professionally in customers’ homes and businesses

This vacancy is specifically aimed at people who have already developed useful hands-on experience but now want a company that can help them progress properly.
Previous Solar PV or Battery Storage experience is particularly valuable.

You should have:
- Around 2+ years’ hands-on electrical installation experience
- Good practical electrical knowledge
- Confidence using electrical and power tools
- Good practical and problem-solving ability
- Strong attention to detail
- Pride in producing neat, professional installations
- Excellent reliability and timekeeping
- A professional attitude around customers
- Strong health & safety awareness
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Driving Requirements
You must also have:
- Full UK driving licence
- Licence held for more than 3 years
- Fewer than 6 points on your licence
- Your own reliable transport to travel to our meeting point/base
These requirements are essential.
Qualifications & Experience
Ideally, you’ll already have or be working towards one or more of:
- Level 2 Electrical Installation
- Level 3 Electrical Installation
- Electrical apprenticeship
- Recognised electrical training
- ECS/CSCS card
- Solar PV installation experience
- Battery Storage installation experience
- Domestic electrical installation experience
- Commercial electrical installation experience
Solar PV and Battery Storage experience will be a significant advantage.
However, we’ll also consider someone with a strong electrical installation background who demonstrates the right ability, work ethic and desire to develop.
