Overview
Eynesbury Plant Hire is a family run business with nearly 60 years in business, we supply Plant Hire, Transport and Road sweepers across the construction industry.
We are looking a Class 2 HGV 18T Plant Lorry Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a beavertail lorry to transport plant equipment and materials to various sites. The position requires a professional attitude, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to manage deliveries efficiently across different locations.
Duties
- Load and secure machinery appropriately, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Plan routes and schedules to meet delivery / collection times.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after journeys, reporting any issues promptly.
- Follow all health and safety protocols during transit and at delivery sites.
- Communicate effectively with customers and team members regarding delivery times and any potential delays.
Requirements
- Valid Class 2 HGV (LGV) licence with relevant driving experience.
- Ability to navigate using GPS or traditional maps efficiently.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to plan routes effectively.
- Strong commitment to safety standards and traffic regulations.
- Physical fitness to handle loading/unloading tasks when required.
- A professional attitude with excellent communication skills.
Although experience would be ideal, we are happy to train the right candidate if you have a willing to learn attitude and follow safe loading and securing
Pay: From £17.00 per hour
