Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation and upkeep of the building and equipment across our facilities. This role requires a leadership qualities, and excellent problem-solving skills to minimise downtime and maintain safety standards. The Maintenance Technician will also oversee maintenance activities and provide exceptional customer service to internal departments.
Key Responsibilities
- General Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the care home is in good condition. This includes repairs, painting, and general upkeep of the building and grounds.
- Safety Checks: Conduct regular health and safety inspections, including fire safety checks and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and safety checks in accordance with company policies.
- Emergency Procedures: Familiarize yourself with emergency procedures and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Grounds Maintenance: Undertake landscaping tasks such as lawn care, pruning, and keeping outdoor areas tidy.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other staff members to ensure a safe and pleasant environment for residents
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in property maintenance or a related field is often preferred. Specific skills in plumbing, electrical work, or gardening can be beneficial.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with residents and staff.
