We are excited to offer a full-time band 5-6 development post in Derwentside & Chester le street Mental health service for older people CMHT.
We are looking to appoint a NMC registered nurse to work into the care home liaison cell of the Community Mental Health team. The team can support a band 5 nurse through their competencies to allow them to develop the knowledge and skills of a band 6 nurse. If all competencies are completed the applicant will receive a permanent band 6 position within the team.
This post is not open to Newly Registered Nurses, candidates must have their NMC registration in place and successfully completed the preceptorship programme in order to be considered.

Within the team we have a very varied workload, which means that every day will bring new and exciting opportunities for you to develop your skills. The team operates a service 09:00 - 17:00 Monday - Friday. The team currently coverers Derwentside and Chester le Street areas of County Durham. The successful candidate will work from Derwent Clinic on the Shotley Bridge Hospital site.
