Are you an experienced NHS Dietitian looking for a new challenge?

If you're a Band 6, or an experienced Band 5 ready to take the next step, this is your opportunity to shape the future generation of the profession while developing your own academic career.

We're looking for an enthusiastic HCPC-registered Dietitian with expertise in teaching, training and supervision to join our supportive and ambitious team within the School of Health and Social Care.

As one of the UK's leading providers of allied health education, we deliver a diverse portfolio of undergraduate, postgraduate and degree apprenticeship programmes across 14 registered professions. As part of our team, you'll play a pivotal role in teaching, assessment and academic activity contributing to our MSc Dietetics programme and BSc (Hons) Dietetics Degree Apprenticeship, helping to prepare competent, compassionate and practice-ready graduates.

This is an exciting opportunity to inspire students from a wide range of backgrounds through innovative teaching, assessment and research. You'll work closely with the course team and practice partners to ensure our programmes reflect the realities of contemporary dietetic practice and the changing needs of the NHS.

Whether your experience comes from pioneering new models of care in primary or secondary care, leading service innovation, or supporting pre-registration learners, you'll bring valuable insight that enriches the student experience.

We'll support your own professional development. You'll have opportunities to build your academic profile, develop your research interests, and, where appropriate, gain a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching in Higher Education.

The University currently enrols eligible academic staff into the Teachers’ Pension Scheme (TPS), a defined-benefit pension scheme.

Should you be enrolled into TPS, each year you will earn a secure pension benefit of 1/57th of your salary and the University will pay pension contributions towards the cost of this pension (currently worth about 29% of your salary). For a salary of £40,000, for example, the University would pay just over £11,400 in the first year of your employment and you would earn a pension of £702 p.a. for that year (payable from your State Pension Age).
