Salary: Circa £83,000 dependant on skills & experience + car allowance

Permanent, Full-Time (With opportunities for Part-Time)

Location: Rutland, Bedford, Northampton, Peterborough, Huntingdon, Milton Keynes and Corby.

Every day, millions of customers rely on us to provide safe, clean drinking water. As a Regional Supply Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliable treatment, distribution and availability of water across the West region, serving around 2 million customers while leading a large operational workforce and managing critical infrastructure.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced operational manager who can balance customer service, operational excellence, environmental responsibility and commercial performance while inspiring teams to deliver their very best.

What will you be doing?

Reporting to the Head of Production for Ruthamford, you'll have overall responsibility for the operational performance of water treatment and distribution activities across your region. You'll lead a team of around 150 people, ensuring the highest standards of safety, compliance, customer service and operational effectiveness.

Key responsibilities include:

Leading the treatment and supply of drinking water to approximately 2 million customers.

Driving operational excellence across water treatment, distribution, maintenance and reservoir management activities.

Delivering financial performance against a significant operational budget while supporting capital investment programmes.

Ensuring compliance with regulatory, environmental and water quality standards.

Leading the response to operational incidents and ensuring excellent service recovery for customers.

Building strong relationships with customers, regulators, contractors and key stakeholders.

Driving continuous improvement, operational efficiency and strategic change programmes.

Developing future leaders through coaching, mentoring and succession planning.

What does it take to be successful?

You'll be a proven operational leader with extensive experience in water, utilities, engineering or another highly regulated, asset-intensive environment.

We're looking for someone with:

Significant experience in a senior operational management role.

Strong knowledge of water operations, water management and regulatory compliance.

Outstanding leadership and people management capability.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Strong commercial and financial awareness.

The ability to think strategically while delivering operational results.

A proactive, adaptable and forward-thinking approach to leadership.

A degree-level qualification and relevant professional accreditation would be advantageous.
