Full job description

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Fork Lift Truck ( Counterbalance ) Driver to join our client warehouse team in Slough area. The position involves operating forklifts and other material handling equipment, adhering to safety standards, and supporting overall warehouse management.

Duties

Operate forklift trucks safely and efficiently to load, unload, and transport materials throughout the warehouse.
Manage materials handling tasks including stacking, organising, and relocating stock as required.
Assist with shipping and receiving activities, ensuring accurate documentation and inventory control.
Conduct routine inspections of forklift machinery, reporting any faults or issues promptly.
Assist in loading lorries and preparing goods for dispatch or receipt.

Skills

Proven experience operating forklift trucks within a warehouse or logistics setting.
Ability to handle materials safely, including heavy lifting of up to 25kg or more.
Good organisational skills with attention to detail for inventory management.
Experience in materials handling, load & unload operations, and general warehouse activities.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to forklift operation and warehouse work.

Shift Pattern: This role operates on a rotating shift pattern of 3 consecutive day shifts ( 7AM - 7PM) , followed by 3 days off, then 3 consecutive night shifts (7PM - 7AM), with the cycle repeating.

Candidates should possess relevant forklift certification or licence, along with a proactive approach towards safety and teamwork.

Licence/Certification:

Counterbalance FLT licence (required)

Pay: £13.00-£14.00 per hour
