Overview
We are seeking an experienced Landscape Labourer to join our unique private estate. This full-time role offers the opportunity to work as part of a small, dedicated team to develop and maintain our beautiful gardens, specialist bonsai collection and the wider estate green spaces.
The ideal candidate will be equally comfortable completing a variety of tasks from, completing seasonal maintenance, maintaining sculpted formal gardens, and aiding in project building works, no two days are the same.
The Role
You will play a key role in maintaining and developing a diverse range of outdoor environments to an exceptional standard. Combining landscaping and maintenance knowledge with a proactive, hands-on approach, you will help ensure the estate remains immaculate, functional, and visually inspiring year-round.
You will:
- Maintain gardens, flowerbeds, shrubs, and landscaped areas through pruning, trimming, watering, planting, and seasonal care.
- Complete general estate maintenance tasks including painting fences and building outdoor structures.
- Carry out routine ground’s maintenance including leaf blowing, pathway clearance, litter picking, and debris removal.
- Support the upkeep of lakes and surrounding outdoor spaces.
- Operate and maintain garden machinery and tools including mowers, strimmer’s, hedge cutters, and other handheld equipment
- Work closely with the wider team to ensure all outdoor spaces are maintained safely and efficiently
- Report hazards, damages, or maintenance concerns promptly
- Occasionally support team leadership and help uphold high working standards across the estate
About You
You are practical, reliable, and take pride in creating and maintaining exceptional outdoor spaces. You understand that good standards of work are built through consistency and attention to detail.
You will bring:
- Previous experience in landscaping and maintenance work.
- A strong work ethic and willingness to undertake hands-on physical tasks in all weather conditions
- Confidence using hand tools, power tools, and garden machinery
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards
- The ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
- A proactive and flexible approach to daily tasks
Desirable
- Formal Landscaping training or qualifications
- Experience working on private estates or high-end landscapes
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Telehandler licence (desirable but not essential)
Working Hours
- 10-hour shifts (including 1-hour paid lunch break)
- 5 days per week
- 1 weekend off in 4
