Overview

Join our dynamic security team as a Security Officer and become a vital part of safeguarding our facilities, assets, and people. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment through vigilant surveillance, proactive loss prevention strategies, and prompt response to incidents. Your dedication will help ensure a safe, welcoming space for everyone while supporting the smooth operation of our organization. Duties

Monitor surveillance systems such as CCTV cameras to oversee all activity within the premises and detect any suspicious behavior or security breaches.
Conduct regular patrols of the facility, including entrances, exits, and sensitive areas, to deter theft and unauthorized access.
Enforce loss prevention protocols by identifying potential theft or vandalism and intervening appropriately.
Respond swiftly to alarms or emergency situations, providing first aid when necessary and coordinating with emergency responders.
Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security checks to ensure accurate record-keeping.
Verify the identity of visitors, contractors, and employees to control access and prevent unauthorized entry.
Conduct safety inspections and assist with emergency preparedness drills to promote a secure environment.

Experience

Previous experience in security or surveillance roles is preferred but not required; we welcome motivated individuals eager to learn.
Familiarity with CCTV systems, surveillance equipment, and loss prevention techniques is advantageous.
Certification in first aid or CPR is highly desirable to effectively respond to medical emergencies.
Strong observational skills with the ability to identify potential threats quickly and accurately.
Excellent communication skills for clear reporting and effective interaction with team members and visitors.
Ability to remain calm under pressure while managing multiple responsibilities efficiently.
Ideally hold a SIA licence.
