Full job description

Senior Payroll Assistant

Based at any of our Devon offices with the flexibility to work from home, 2 days a week (Full Time).

Role Requirements:

Experience of working in a Practice or Payroll Bureau (Essential)
Working knowledge of Sage 50, Xero and Quickbooks (Desirable)
Working knowledge of pension schemes such as NEST, SMART and NHS (Essential)
Experience of high volume monthly payroll processing (Essential)

Other responsibilities of the role include:

Process multiple pay frequencies, reports and RTI.
Complete the month end and year end duties, P60's, P45’s.
Manage the maintenance of all payroll records ensuring that records are filed in an accurate and timely manner.
Process Auto Enrolment pensions to meet legal obligations including enrolment, re enrolment and completion of the declaration.
Prepare and submit CIS returns including verifying subcontractors, calculating CIS due to HMRC and preparing CIS Vouchers.
