Job Title: Full-Time Digger Driver / Machine Operator
J Croft Contracting Ltd are looking for an experienced full-time Digger Driver / Machine Operator to join our team.
We carry out a wide range of agricultural, forestry, conservation and groundworks projects across North Devon and the wider South West.
The Role
The role will involve operating excavators on a variety of different sites and projects, working alongside our existing team.
Duties may include:
- Excavator and digger operation
- Groundworks
- Forestry and conservation works
- Site preparation
- General machine work
- Assisting with other site duties when required
Qualifications
Ideally, applicants will hold:
- Excavator / digger ticket
- CSCS card
- SMSTS
- First Aid
- Chainsaw ticket
Having all of the above is not essential. Training and additional qualifications can be provided for the right person.

- Experienced and confident operating excavators
- Reliable and hardworking
- Able to work well as part of a team
- Happy working outdoors in all conditions
- Willing to travel to different sites when required
- Keen to develop their skills and qualifications
